We’ve seen the results: according to our recent Hewitt Employee Engagement Scorecard, experiences as rewards are better than a cash bonus. Research found that cash bonuses, whilst appreciated, do not build connection with an employer. In fact the ‘value’ or excitement of receiving a cash bonus disappears quickly. Experiences gifts (and activities) however build the employer brand and culture of a business.
